The purpose of the School Site Council shall be to:
1. Approve the annual School-Wide Action Plan and budget(s) for categorical and special funds received.
2. Have ongoing responsibility to review with the principal, teachers, other school-wide personnel, students, and parents; the implementation of the School-Wide Action Plan and to periodically assess the effectiveness of this plan.
3. Annually review the School-Wide Action Plan, recommending modifications to reflect changing improvement needs and priorities, along with recommending changes in the categorical budget(s) consistent with the Education Code.
4. Take other actions as required by the Education Code or District.
5. Maintain positive communications within the school and between the school and the community.
6. Communicate with the District and the school board regarding the progress of the School-Wide Action Plan and the expenditures of funds.
7. The principal ultimately remains responsible for decisions to implement the plan and which are necessary for the administration and supervision of the school in accordance with Section 78.9 of the California Administrative Code.
